Hi all this is my first post and i hope you can help me please...

Our Focus 18TDCI 07 new shape has a problem... when starting, the battery light comes on.. then the main lights start flashing/ flickering.. then the ABS light comes on and power steering stops working.. engine has a fail on the dash and then cuts out...

Found out that the new battery is quit low so i put a booster on, starts ok but battery light is still on ( as you would expect, old bat and new one had the same faults ) engine management has a fault on dash, disconnect booster and all the above flashes etc and stops... With the rev counter needle still stuck on tick over...
One of the chaps at my work looked at the battery volt when the engine is running and it was or looked like charging the old battery..

Anyone came across this ?
