Might pin 17 be an injector output? in which case you could probably use it?

EDIT, the fuel computer would probably be making assumptions about flow at stock fuel rail pressure with stock injector size.... so would be wrong.

Still possible, though. If the original mfi unit was in line with an injector it must be looking at 1/4 fuel used and multiply the out put? Assuming its voltage rises with fuel speed (think they have a little impeller type jobby in there) you could possibly put the sender inline with your fuel rail (etc) and use a variable resistor set up to calibrate its out put.

Assuming thats how they work.
