I have a level 6 ecu as a spare . I actually bought it before the car for a previous project that was sold , probably 10 years ago now and its sat about my house ever since. I recall the car it came from before it was stripped due to damage , the engine fired up lovely. I paid £125 with an unknown stg1 chip from a trusted friend. I have never opened it up.
I was thinking of an idea. I personally would have it tested by a well known ecu specialist before i sold it to somebody , dont think that would cost too much if its all ok .

I would send it to them as i know they can do this . Maybe it could be passed on along with newer/better chip at same time etc etc?? What chip do you have ? The sticker on mine it is unclear right where it says what type (w45.01 or w45.06) It must be a level 6 (white mixture screw)

Let me know what you think , pm if you like or keep it here , i,d rather check ecu instead of ruining someones pride and joy etc plus you know its all in good order , as said ecu has sat for 10 years .
I did put the company i would use but not sure if thats ok to do , i,m sure an arrangement can be made somehow mate

Edit - i see its a stg1 colins chip now haha . I also dont have a price in mind as such and i,m not in a rush as such for any . The ecu maybe duff by now who knows so dont worry about that for now , i,d rather it be used to help someone out . Christ, I panic about finding things in Essex/uk ffs haha let alone Canada .
