Exclamation Ford Focus Cambelt Tensioner issues

I have a 2002 2.0 zetec focus. The car has done 66k and a couple of months ago the tensioner on the cambelt gave up and disintegrated (which i've herd they do often )
So I have recently changed the belt and head etc. as some valves were bent in the carnage!! and it is back up and running again, however there is now a squeeking/clicking noise coming from, as far as I can tell, the cambelt tensioner.
The tensioner and belt are obviously brand new and genuine ford parts.
I have herd that this squeeking or ticking noise from the tensioner is a sign that it is on its way out?!?! Which isn't filling me with much confidence to drive it.
Has anyone else had this same problem, and is this noise from the tensioner in fact a sign that it is on its way out???

Also on the same note, the tensioner adjustment arm is moving constantly back and forth, by approx. 5-10mm. Is this normal as I didn't take note of what it was doing before it died?

Any help or comments would be much appreciated.
