Depends how you look at it. I wanted to stay with the DOHC, but wanted something different. An 8v, with a turbo kit can make about 180bhp, my engine as it is will make just over 160bhp. Add cams and other bits to it, it'll make the same as a turbo DOHC. Stick a 2.3 bottom end on it, new pistons and a turbo kit and you'll be chomping at cossy heels. The DOHC in any form is worth it if you like to tinker, it's quite an under rated engine. Are you using the Scorpio block or an RS2K engine? Many people think the only way to go fast in a Sierra is to fit a 24v engine or a cossy lump-not so. The DOHC bottom end is bullet proof, and is much easier and cheaper to maintain than either of the other 2 options
