Yeah you've got a point mate, I will be planning on a gearbox upgrade to a mtx75 in the future but management wise im still gonna use the ford eec-IV and have it mapped by MSD. You can pick up a second hand built bottom end with steel internals for under a grand and the standard head is good for over 300bhp with uprated valve springs.
I'd personally rather have an understated car with plenty under the bonnet than a cossie or whatever so you can surprise a lot of people when you boot it. Cant beat it lol.
