A 2.0 focus (not ST170) is not too bad to insure, only group 7 I think. I've found it to be the best compromise between insurance and performance anyway. As said, you'd be better off with a 2.0 car than messing about changing yours. If I were a gold member and you were nearer I could tell you about such a car that might be for sale.
