Default mondeo st24 prob?

Ive had a starting problem for some time,i learned that it may be an injector problem.
ive done tests on the injectors, theres 12v going to all 6 and all 6 have a pulse so i think theire ok.
Ive also found out that no fuel was getting to the front bank so ive been driving round with half an engine.i checked what i could including the loom to the injectors,it seemed ok until i unplugged the three big electrical connectors at the back left hand side of the engine near the power steering top up container.
The top connector has six pins, the middle one has 12 pins and the bottom one has 10 pins.
out of all 28 pins on all 3 connectors 20 of them are covered in a creamy substance,it looks like white toothpaste.
Im not sure if its normal or i need to clean it out and if its the route of all my problems?

Does anyone know?
cheers.
cars in a 100 bits.
