I ended up taking my own alarm Or should I say alarm/immobilisors out myself. No expert in electrics but its quite obvious once you get stuck in.

I had one alarm/ 2 immobilisors - took my time and removed it.

I too was concerned I may make matters worse, but I kept a tab of what I removed and made sure I reconnected a step at a time.
