Default Tyre pressure sensors(rant)

The warning came up on the instrument panel saying low pressure (not for the first time) on my Peugeot 207GT.The ns front was a bit low so as you do I checked the rest only for one of the valves to snap in half whilst removing the dust cap, this was the opposite side too.Fucking great,I was on my way too the hospital so one tyre change later one suspected puncture and now I am also dirty I go off to the tyre place to be told main dealers. They are a common fault so I thought about four replacements £78 each please and £2.86 each for a nut
The tyre place said they can replace with normal valves but I then need the computer reset so thats about £150 this also needs doing when replacing with oem valves. The spare has never been on the car and its a standard alloy and to top it off the half snapped valve fell out of the dash pocket into the ratchet mechanism for the handbrake and jammed it !!.
This is going to cost £200 quid for the cheapest option or about £450 to do it right. What a swizz ! . Update they have just said its £65 to have the system switched off so I know what I am doing now.
