Anyone got any smart idea's how I can track an engine number back to a registration number??

Got a mate who is an MOT tester, so want to give him a reg number for the car my new engine was removed from. Hopefully he can get a little bit more history about it.

Just be nice to check the history of the engine and if the mileage is genuine!
