Normally the fuse ends up melting as the fans stay on for to long due to the huge span of the standard switch, some Escos owners do use the Saph switches along with a wiring mod and thus single speed fans.

There is an aftermarket switch avaliable the Sierra one bring the fans on later and has just a few degrees span so the fans arn't on for an age.

The fuel pump loom also suffers from similar issue where by the aged wiring builds up resistance thus the pump can not get the power it needs, so you can end up with a melted engine, these are two known issues, again a rewire is the solution.

You can either make the loom DIY or buy pre made looms. Just see how it runs and keep an eye on that spillage.
