Thus has just set me off looking. here is some information, The general info states must be driven etc but thats for all vosa tests. under the special notes just for the vic test it says sufficient repairs to support the intention of returning to the road and that a vehicle must be able to be driven under its own power not that it actually has to be driven to the test. weve took them on trailers and trucks before and nothing is said. sometimes just after they have been jigged etc with panels missing as you cant allways get a test when you want one so have to get one when you can and never had problems. perhaps they want it to be able to drive as they take it into a workshop to do the examination on it.
