Putting all the tax on fuel, means the more you use (and therefore use the resouce) the more tax you pay.

Instead of a tax disc, the DVLA should issue a disc that states its insured & MOT'd. If you're not displaying or cant produce the disc, its an uninsured, un road worthy car & the coppers can confiscate it!
Totally pointless.

The only sensible and right solution is to scrap ALL current motoring related taxes and charges ( including those on fuel )

Then add a fair tax to fuel that covers road use and basic third part insurance cover. Road taxation should not get used for other things. Income tax and VAT is supposed to fund the running of the country, not bloody motorists !

No need for stupid checks, no need for stupid fucking discs, and no need for retarded cops and checkpoints checking for these things.
Every single road user is covered and they pay for it every time they fill up.

It's so simple, is it any wonder the braindead wanks in power wont do it. Chances are it will generate less revenue for them though, which is why they wont do it.

What are they going to do when fuel runs done, and they are left totally bankrupt with no money coming in ? They need to stop relying on fuel duty.

Start taxing hippy bastards for the air they breathe or something, or taxing Greenpeace for being useless wasters.
