Yup apparently the chemicals in the batteries are very bad for the environment and the energy taken to make the batteries as well.

So are we gonna get hit by some environmental tax when it comes to scrapping these electric pieces of shit.

The answer is hydrogen fuel cells and the only emmisions is water.

Think Honda already have one.

LPG does not work cos nobody sells it really and the conversion cost will mean you need to keep the car for 10 years to make it worth the expense.

My girlfriend had a 1.5dci Clio that did 60mpg and cost about £55 to tax for a year but it was abit slow.

Personally I think annual mileage should be taken into consideration when calculating road tax and not just emmisions. Some folk have gutsy weekend toys and do very little mileage so why should they be taxed the same as someone doing 30k miles a year in a similar car.
