Went up today just to have a look round and see what metal was about. Apologies for picture quality, taken on my phone.
Stripped out Impreza, rollcage, single race seat, carbon bonnet and boot. Was very very quick, the driver knew his stuff.
I got talking to the owner of the below car. Nice German guy called Michael. Was telling me all about this car, simply uses it on trackdays as a hobby. Had north of 600 horses.
There was also this. As soon as I saw it, I knew it and the GT2 would be having words on the track
The guy in the white polo is the owner of the above GT2.
Evo 8, all mouth and no trousers this one. Sounded good, but just didn't perform on the track.
Was comprehensively passed down Losail's 1KM straight by this
which was the second toy of the GT2 owner. He raced both today
Then the manager of the Lotus dealership turned up in an Exige Cup 260.
And last but not least, a V8 powered M3 with the Competition Pack. Driven by a husband and wife couple who looked like they were out for a Sunday drive
The GT3 and GT3 were at it hammer and tongs down the main straight. On one lap, they came out of the last corner side by side and both gunned it. The GT2 I expected to walk away, but it was surprisingly even, and into the first corner, the RS still had position. Next lap, they both came in and were grinning like cheshire cat's. Can't say I blame them really.
Thanks for looking.
Matt
