Bear in mind if your going to do it you want to do it properly, otherwise you're going to spend more time fixing it than driving which is NOT fun. Remember the CVH turbo's are getting on a bit now and can require a bit of attention especially if you get a dog.
It's all of the little odds and sods that end up costing a packet too, the bits you don't think about.
Did your 250 -300 include wiring loom, fuel tank and lines, ecu's, then mapping or a good set-up, suspension and brakes to cope with all that extra power. It all adds up unfortunately.
If your on a budget have you thought about a Zetec, much cheaper to do, easier to fit and potential for good NA power.
Not trying to put you off, but trust us, it can be expensive!

well iv found them on here and ebay, i think it was clutch engine block wiring loom turbo and all the smaller bits, jus needed a gearbox exhaust and ecu i think , not too sure...And what do you mean by zetec? 2.1 or 2.0? id Love to go down the 2.1zvh route but sounds Very costly to me ?
or do you mean zetec 2.0 out a mondeo and turbo that? would that be much cheaper than buying a whole rst engine for 4/500 complete with gearbox etc, basically everything but a fuel tank/pump or something like that?
