It's fooked basically, there should be NO play felt let alone seen, it will get worse, it is caused by the top bush sticking to the dizzy shaft and spinning inside the aluminium body.
The bushes are not great, they are made from compacted crushed iron particles, the good news though is there is a cure, this costs £35, but will outlast the car, it is to machine true the spindle and fit a oil lite bush, these are self lubing, and will give you zero problems.
This is also what I did to my one, and a few other people's, been perfect, have used this material for years, since seeing a mate use it on his custom made minature steam engines he makes for people as a business.
