Escort van immobiliser questions
Hi everyone. First post. I have a 98 Escort 1.8 diesel van here. Immobiliser kicked up a couple of weeks ago. One of those where it refuses to pump diesel and starter wont crank the engine over either. Im hoping to bypass the immobiliser altogether now. Sorting the starter out shouldn't be too much of a problem with a new wire from the ignition switch to starter. Now the pump side of it; Ive removed the security plate from the back of the injector pump. It has a 2-wire stop solenoid. Will I need to fit a single wire solenoid here or can I leave the original 2 wire in place and connect 12v to one wire and earth the other? Anything else needed to get around the problem?
