but you will also find that the parts that were supplied would have been listed in the list of thanks for that month and therefore the parts would have had some sort of "value" credited to them by means of advertising for free in exchange for providing the part

so the mag gets free bits to review and the supplier gets free advertising for said bits in a more prominent part of the mag than they may have done had they just had a small ad tucked away in the corner that may have gone unnoticed

and there you have it's "worth" and it would be a simple enough job to go back to the manufacturer/supplier to get a costing for said part
