A 270bhp Focus will not make as much power as a 300bhp Focus if the same aftermarket parts are fitted. But long as your car has the latest callibration then it will be around 300bhp, whether it's an early or late model.
Anyone who has decided to tune their RS will almost certainly know about the calibration updates so would have it done anyway.
