I had a copper ask me to see the V5 when I had a producer as well, but V5 wasnt ticked on the producer as something I needed to produce and also as far as I am aware its not a legal requirement to carry with you anyway. He started saying that I had to show it to him and he would do me for failure to produce if I didnt do so.

I said that I happened to have it with me (brought down the polypocket for that car from my folder so it had that in it with the MOT and insurance etc) but that I was NOT prepared to show it to him and please could I speak to his superior please.

His boss apologised to me, and told him that I didnt need to show it at all.

I wonder how many other people though this little twat had wasted time off making them drive home to go and get their V5 etc when they didnt even have to show it!
