Yeh I had a little play.
The 406's come with an FMIC standard.
Induction kit, played with turbo and got it from 16 to 18psi and upped the fueling to match.
Then started running it on cooking oil and advanced the pump slightly, upped the turbo to 22psi and upped the fueling again. Made the car much more driveable, had no more smoke than normal and I used to get a little dump from the intake every so often
1st gear was useless too, to make a quick start you'd have to pull off in 2nd and rape the clutch

I got 0-60 down from about 14s to a much nicer 10ish but even standard the Focus feels a little more nippy.
I loved the 406 and if I could find a nice example I'd have another at a click of a finger. Would love a nice diablo red estate dropped 30-40mm on eibachs with 206 GTi alloys. A 2.1TD engine with a 1.9TD fueling setup, would be my dream 406! Maybe sometime in the future, the Focus just dosen't suit me at all but it'l keep me going for a few years
