i have a standard mk1 with st170 wheels but the tyres are the wrong size, they are 205/40/17 instead of 215/45/17 and are too harsh. has anybody had KUMHO ku31 tyres fitted to their car? i heard they were a pretty good compromise between good road holding(both dry and wet)and value for money. i can get a set of 4 fully fitted for £291.

i know there are a lot of cheaper ones, but i have budget tyres on there now and even though they are ok in the dry, they are shocking in the winter.
iv got a set of Toy proxes t1-s on mine and had the t1-r's before and was impressed with them. Think you can pick a set of four up for £220 for 205/40 (prob a bit more if u get the 215/45)
