Possibly..

When I got it set up after getting it out, i mentioned it to the bloke (didn't seem as bad then tho) he mentioned piston slap, said later con rods are slightly offset to reduce the high loads.?

Mine is 2WD but 200 block & apparently a brand new Ecos crank..dunno about rods..probably originals
