The spelling and grammar thread was mostly contributed to by the same group of people as it seemed like a nice informal bit of banter or whichever word you prefer as banter is not allowed.
People now have MASSIVE chips on their shoulders about everyone slagging spelling and grammar since that thread. DOes everyone forget that it was extremely recent?! 2 months tops maybe?!? It was hardly a "problem" here before!

exactly. the spelling and grammar thread clearly only got to 20 pages by willing members enjoying some world famous PF banter. it was obvious what it was about eventually, so if one didn't want the piss ripped out of oneself, one shouldn't have posted in it. if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
it seems that those who struggle to write correctly have a massive chip on their shoulders about it that harks back to their school days stuck in the remedial room with a speak & spell whilst the normal kids were in the playground
