I have used cometic gaskets on quite a few engines without a problem, but the way that the fire ring design is on the WRC gasket is better in terms of how its folded (I beleive that cometic's machines cant reproduce this), so with that available I would use it instead.

cometic = good enough for most applications
wrc = better and not much more expensive
