I'd prefer to get hands on experience though. Almost like a motorsport college course where I can get my hands dirty rather than get a qualification. I'm not fussed with the qualification, would just love to learn how to dismantle and re-build an engine for fun in the hope I'd do a project car in the next few years!
I suppose I could ask at garages as I have pretty good holidays being a teacher?
The motorport course im doing at the moment, isnt very hands on im affraid, yeah we do welding once a week. Starting suspension soon then gearboxs and transmissions, apparently the engine part of the course is being taken out of my sylabus
i mean how stupid, doing a motorsport engineering course and you dont even get to do engine work
