St Johns Market has lots of stores and that's the main of the city centre, around that area. How far are you willing to walk? You can park for free all day, but it's about half a mile away I'd say. Other than that I don't know of any free parking anywhere.

There's also Speke Retail Park which has a lot of shops, too. Chances are you'll pass that coming into the town so you might aswel visit it if you do. While you are here, and at Liverpool one if you go to the Dock Road which is very close to where you'll be, there's two awesome rides now we have. One is a swing, and the other is like a big wheel. Both are good.
