After finding that the engine was not running rite and it failing m.o.t on emissions i took the car to a garage.

He plugged the car in to a diagnostic machine and the codes read P0135 P0141 P1518.

So he said i need two new lambda sensors and a new IMRC box. Next day i went and paid over 400 pound for the bits i need fitted them had another re test done (because engine management light was still on) Only codes showing now is P0135 and P1518 (the other lambda sensor had a wire broke off) But the revs on tick over is a lot better its perfect on 8000rpm.

So now im stuck and have not got a clue what to try or do next im out of cash as im out of work. But this is whats happening with the car now.

When i come to a junction it cuts out.

The engine gets so hot you have to wait before looking under the bonnet else it burns your face off.

When you try slowly revving it up to 3000rpm it struggles to get there and comes back down again then back up and my foot does not move of the accelerator.(This only happens now and again)

Some times the revs are so low it cuts out.

The engine in general sounds very lumpy.

Theirs at least a second gap when you turn the ignition over to start the car.

you can smell the richness coming from the exhaust and theirs lots of smoke and water.

If anyone can please help as ive reached boiling point with it Or any one from around the tipton area can come out and have a quick look at it i would be over the moon.If it helps its an st170 conversion it has gone through genuine m.o.t before Thanks chris
