Hi there i have just obtained a 97 escort ghia which has heated front windscreen the screen looks fine but has no power going to the screen when you press the switch on the dashboard there is no light that comes on but the rear screen works fine. and the bulb lights up on the rear screen button which is combined with the front screen.

I have ruled out that it may just be the bulb gone in the switch as i tried leaving it on but there was no response to the windscreen as the ice remained in place. I have checked the fuse and the fuse looks fine i havent checked the relay as yet but have been told its a power fault if no light works on the switch. Has anyone come across this problem if so any help would be much appreciated
