Arrow fiesta loom conversion help

hey , ive got a mk3 fiesta witch origenaly was a 1.3 now its running a 1.6 mfi engine on carburetor witch is an easy conversion , now i want to run injection without any major changes ie full engine change and i'd like to keep it running on distributor , i know i need an mfi-efi adaptor plate to run xr2i or frst inlet manifold but is it posible to just edit out the coil pack wires on the loom?and just have it running mostly the fuel management , idealy this is to get the car ready for when money suits a 1.6 turbo conversion ,
are the xr2i and frst looms the same ? i know the 2i doesn't have boost control? but what else is different ? some rs turbo's run distributor thats why i'd like to keep mine so the change over is "simple" ,do the ecu's cross over? if the same type ofac or ofab if thats right ?

bear with me im a novice at this and probrably cant spell any help to get me to my goals will be much apreciated , sorry if repeat post
