Yeah amitrip is VERY commonly used for nerve pain. Its a much lower dose than what is used for depression.
Gabapentin is an anti-seizure drug, which is also used for neuropathic pain.

I agree with getting a referral to a pain team. Far too many people end up on stupid doses of very powerful drugs.
