Thanks for that, I had read that it was 2004 for Diesel cars, I just find it strange that my car has the correct socket, in the place that complies with EOBD regulations (within 18" of the steering wheel).

So what sort of equipment do I need, or what protocol do I need to use to read any error code from my pre-EOBD Mondeo?
