Leaving Blackpool at 4ish would see you struggle to get to somewhere get booked in and down to dinner before 1st course starts tbh. Most of these nights start about half 7 - 8o'clock

Try here, they have a Hogmanay Ball on. 5 mins from J8 of M74. Down in the Clyde Valley near me, nice surroundings and hotel has just been done up. Band that are on are fantastic, played at my mates wedding in september. Not been at one of their nights since it was taken over and revamped, but been for lunch/dinner a few times. Now owned by Barry Ferguson ex Rangers now Birmingham City and a few of his business partners. They've threw money at it, really nice now.
