You can check if the HT leads are leaking by lifting the bonnet when its dark. Start the engine and have a look around the leads. If you see any small blue sparks or hear the spark arc-ing across to earth anywhere, then they either need re routing or replacing. If they are arc-ing dont move them with the engine running
