Newbie of the forum. Had my Mk 6.5 Fiesta Zetec Climate 1.4 for over 12 months now and I want to spend a bit of cash impoving the looks of the car.

First on my list is to change all the pieces of grey plastic that I think let the car's look down (lower & upper grill, fog surrounds, side mouldings and boot handle/trim), so what I want to know is: Can these bits of trim be removed, primed and sprayed themselves? I have heard of a few people who have removed the grill and fog surrounds and sprayed, but unsure about the side mouldings and boot strip.

If not, why can't it be done and what's the best solution? pre-primed parts online for all the bits I want to change amounts to well over £250!
