ok the carbon mods black resin is just the same as there clear except its black lol

expoxy resin is usually whats used in carbon and fibreglass usually uses polyester from what ive read

i used the carbon mods stuff

some stuff you will need a decent set of digital scales, mixing cups, mixers ( i use tongue depressers)

measurements need to be spot on and usually 2-1 with the carbonmods resin

i get my carbon off ebay which is 2x2 twill weave and a weight of 200

to start clean the parts, and give them a good key (its handy if the part is black)

apply black resin and leave to go tacky

cut your carbon with sharp scissors, then what i do is i stwist the carbon so it goes into one of those funny squares carnt remember the name, as the carbon tightens and doesnt seperate when going round curves you will see when you get the cabon by trying it

once the resin is tacky which will be after 2-3hrs, i lay the carbon on and carefull mould it round the shape, but curves are a bitch to do which im still learning at

i then leave to set overnight, once set i apply a clear coat of resin and leave to set

once set key up resin gently not to go through to carbon, apply another clear coat and leave to go tacky then another coat and leave to set

hairdrier ove each coat gently and you will see it relase the air bubbles but be carefull

once set, i trim the carbon round the parts, then wet flat until smooth carfully then laquer

also it needs to be warm and not cold when doing it, i wasted £100 worth of carbon just practicing simple things, and im still learning and it does get quite costly
