Default Focus bits - having a clearout.

I need to raise a bit of cash so I have a few decent bits which I am putting up for sale.

All parts are located in Lincoln and the prices do not include any delivery costs.

IB5 'short shifter' gear lever - SOLD

A beautifully made bit of kit and a genuine short shifting lever, not just a cut down and rethreaded standard one. I will include my gear lever surround which I had to cut down to enable me to select 2nd, 4th and reverse correctly which will save you a LOT of effort. A stainless steel gearknob is included with this. REALLY improves the quality and 'tightness' of every gearshift. This WILL NOT FIT lift-up reverse cars fitted with the MTX-75 gearbox (save loads of numpties asking).

1.4/1.6/1.8 driveshafts - £50

A pair of driveshafts comprising of 3 parts, 1 shaft which goes from the gearbox to the nearside (passenger side) wheel hub, 1 intermediate shaft, support bearing and universal joint and 1 offside shaft which goes from the UJ down to the hub. Both sides have the CV joints and boots fitted. The complete offside set of shafts are in particularly good condition and has a brand spanking new tripod bearing assembly on it! My local scrapyard sell these for around £35 + VAT so I think this is a decent price for these as the tripod assemblies in particularly are a common failure point.

A pair of EGR sideskirts - £50

Painted in State Blue and currently to fit a 3 door (they will fit a 5 door with a spot of trimming along the back edges). Comes with some fittings but you only need a couple of self tappers and a spot of double sided tape along the doors. The paint has been stone chipped away along the leading edges where they wrap around the front of the arches and there are a couple of marks along the underside of them where I have had to use the emergency roadside jack on a very lowered car. Both of these would be sorted with bodyshop prep and paint. These WILL fit both Mk1's and Mk1.5s and originally cost me around £130.

1.4/1.6 Zetec-S power steering pump - £40

Bought in error to fit to a mate's car, I thought the power steering pump was knackered and leaking internally but it turned out to be a cracked power steering pipe so this wasn't needed. Removed from a pre-facelift 1.6 fitted with a Zetec-S engine where this was mounted (if I remember correctly) on the front of the engine. Don't ask me if it will fit the SE, I don't know.

That's it for the moment until I can get across to my lockup and see exactly what else I have laying around. I will have a few more 'decent' bits though. I know I have at least 2 engines in various states of undress - rods, pistons, oil pumps, water pumps and housings, alternators, tensioners, idler pulleys, radiator fans etc. Will see what I've got in the coming week, photograph it and list it all up on here.

Found a few more bits.

All the following bits are originally from a 2.0 litre blacktop Mondeo engine which had 50k, I used the engine in my ESP that I acquired so a lot of the bits off it are now available. All will fit the 1.8 blacktop engine too and all bar the throttle body will fit a Focus 1.8/2.0 litre.

Alternator - £30

Aux belt tensioner - £30 (these are a fortune from Ford as I found out a couple of years ago!)

Mondeo throttle body - £30

Cambelt idler pulley - £20

Starter motor - £30

All bits will get a bloody good cleanup before delivery as they have been stored a few months in a dusty workshop!

Mondeo 2.0 litre ECU and some engine bay wiring loom - £80

Came with the engine I bought and is no use to me. ECU code is BASH which means absolutely nothing to me. I do not have any keys to go with this ECU though I will chuck in the alarm/locking/immobiliser controller as well in case it's any use to you.

Focus 1.8/2.0 sports catalytic convertor - £60

No idea the exactly spec on this (200cpi or 100cpi) but I've offered it up to my car and it's a decent fit. Photo shows it compared to a standard catalytic convertor simply to illustrate the size difference and that it's a sports cat rather than an OE replacement jobby. Never fitted to a car so it's in brand new condition. Can't see any reason why this wouldn't fit a Mondeo but you'd need to double check.

Focus 2.0 litre radiator fans - £30

A good upgrade for the 1.8 Focus as the fans are a lot more heavy duty. Should also fit 1.4's and 1.6's and all Focus's originally without air con (which only have a single fan assembly).

Ford Focus windscreen washer bottle INCLUDING LEVEL SENSOR - £50

Part of the trip computer kit, the computers themselves are a piece of piss to acuqire cheaply on eBay and wire up but most kits do not come with the washer bottle or the level sensor so you constantly have the washer bottle symbol illuminated on the trip comp. Most sellers are also reluctant to split trip comp kits just to sell the washer bottle and sensor. The bottles are sensors are, as you would expect, stupidly priced from Ford themselves.

2 x Escort XR3 'Cloverleaf' alloys - £20 each

14" alloy wheels, includes a tyre each but I have absolutely no idea how old they are so I'd say they needs binning. The wheels are straight and not kerbed but the paint is flaking off badly. Some paint stripper and a fresh coat of paint would see these come up beautifully. Price to sell individually but if you want both of them I'll do them both for £30.

2 x Cavalier GSi 'slab' alloy wheels - £20 each

I know this isn't a Vauxhall forum but I know a few people have, or know people who have Corsas and these are tried and tested wheels on them. No tyres but they are dead straight, no kerbing but with badly flaking paint (these are a piece of piss to refurb though as they are so flat). Ideal as a replacement or as a refurb project.
