not as complicated as above undo and pull the haynes says use a stout bar and belt it to lever it out. But on mine i just pulled like a bastard and out it camne with all the fluid
thats what my haynes said but in the focus with an mtx75 box there is no room to get anything beefy enough in there to leaver it and i dont have a slide hammer
going through the diff was piss easy for me.
oh yeah, drain the box oil first
