problems following new flywheel fitting
new to the forum so please bear with me if i'm in the wrong section.
my car is a 52 reg 130 2.0tdci with 85k on the clock
i need to know if when fitting a new flywheel would the garage need to undo the nut that holds the wheel bearing in, in order to get the drive shaft out.
the reason i'm asking is because my car had to go back under warranty after having a new flywheel fitted and have the clutch replaced as the garage left what they called "a transit or transfer plate" in with the new clutch causing it to rattle.
shortly after this the brakes failed and i had a loud grinding noise coming from the front near side wheel.
on inspection it was found the wheelbearing had "popped" out and the brake disc was wobbling.
could it be that the garage didn't do the nut back up that holds the wheelbearing in place when they fitted the second clutch.
the subsequent repairs cost me £310 for a new stub axle and bearing.
any advise?
