That's a strange looking S1 water pump. Where is it from and is it with a cast impeller?
Unsure to be honest as that engine was built a long time ago, its just the only one i had on Photobucket. The customer supplied the pump himself i recall.

No, if you fitted them as std you couldnt even bolt the head back on..roflol

Stu when you build a new engine an fit a high lift cam, (dunno how to word this) do you just fire the new engine up and straight away rev it to 2000rpm for 20mins?!

Yes, as soon as the engines fired up the engine is taken to and held at 2500 rpm.
Believe it or not, this is easier on the engine than idle speed. Idle is quite a stressfull area for an engine to run at as the valve train acceleration is very low and oil pressure is at its lowest.
