Theres a setting on the meter for it, you simply connect one end of the meter one end and the other end to other end of the wire, you would need another piece of wire to elonggate one end as otherwise it won't reach. It should beep and give a resistance reading if there is a connnection.

You would have to splice it into the connector where the exciting blue wire goes dash end.
