Then it has to be a break in the blue wire most likely further back and make sure inside the connector is not corroded, you now have two options, either trace the wire back and try and repair or just run a seperate new wire from back of alt to the dash which IMO would be easier.

To be 100% certain you could perform a continuity test on the wire.
