one thing that will catch you out though and you'll need to buy are new flywheel bolts
use the original 2.8 clutch and flywheel as this will mate to the gearbox, thread lock the bolts in and don't forget to use new ones, the auto ones are shorter than the manual ones
you may also need a different servo pipe, but it's just the ends, the 2.9's from the granada won't have a hole to plug it into as it's blanked off, earlier ones are in the side of the back of the inlet while the later ones are dead centre in the back
you will also need to ensure that the engine is either mechanical or hydraulic followers otherwise you may try to adjust the tappets and fuck it all up
the early ones use a pressed fuel rail and the later ones use a sandwich plate so make sure you remove enough pipework from these to run to the pipes on the car
while the engine is out, it's going to be a good time to replace all the exhaust manifold studs and fit new gaskets as they are a bitch to get to on the car
and while it's out, a new water pump as a precausion is also a worthwhile investment

they can run hot if the viscous packs up so electric fans at the front are the way forward
