My Red Escort GTI! 1.8 Zetec.. Custom Inlet and Exhaust Manifold.. white Comps... Was Immaculate! loved it

Built this when I was 18... Bought it standard with in 2 months Looked like this...
Also Had a 500BHP Saph Cosworth 2wd Magenta Red!
Had a WRC Engine! On Diamond cut RS7's!
Built this On my drive.. Bought it all In Pieces! Loved every Second of that car.. whenever I took it out that was... had a 528i Sport 51 plate BMW on 20'' M5 Alloys for My Daily at the time
Only Kept it 2 Months Once Built! Sold It for a Healthy Profit .. So wasnt Complaining!
The Bought Proberly My 6th RS turbo! but My fav one!
Bought it Basically a Shell! Needed Alot Of work doing.. Built New Engine.. 270bhp rollin roaded @ Wheels! 1650cc Steel Bottom end Stage 3 head T34 Stage 2 Hybrid Turbo! Diesel gearbox etc
Won 2 Shows Whilst I had it.. For Best In Class!!
Unfortunatly Had to Sell it Because I lost my job :/
Took a Brake away from Fords and went to rover
Id Always Liked the 220GSI Turbo! So bit the bullet and Bought one ...
Built a Crazy 2.1 Forged Engine For it.. GT28 Turbo DTA management etc 305 BHP!
Gearbox Gave way on that. Driveshaft spun and Wrecked the Spline

Got annoyed with it so Sold it My Friend! lol
Owned about another 26-7 Cars! But cba to go thru them all!

Well Chuffed to be Honest ... Its completely Solid! No rust anywhere On any of the Floor Plan.. Seem welds.. Or the sills! Couldnt ask for a better shell tbh!
Got a Problem with the Battery Tray tho!
Looooked 100% Solid..
Kind of Put it thruuu lol! So thats nakered.. and In Need of a Repair Panel But Perfect Time.. To Put the Battery In the Boot now!
And When the New Panel Gets welded in... Remove the Battery Tray itself... and Just keep the Smooth panel! Will look Lovelyyy!!!

Had a Trip out earlier.. To Buy a New Variable Speeed drill With WireBrush Ends! And A Brand New Toool Box + Ratchets, Sockets etc! Thought Got to have the best so lets go buy some!
Cost me a Good Few pennies for the New Tools but ... Itl Be worth it in the end!

Sold the 2.1 Zetec turbo block. to my mate... Gave me a good price for it

Im not goin Turbo now..... CBA! Mainlyy becausee i did some Research ... every Mk4 Escort.. Either it is hatchback.. estate van or combi... They are all Turbo'd!
And I dont want mine to follow the crowd...

- Fully Bored out Block to 1850cc
- New Marhle Pistons
- Piston Rings
- Heavy Duty Big End bearings
- Heavy Duty Crank Shell Bearings
- Block has been drilled so it can take the under Piston Oil jets 8)
- ARP Rod Bolts!!!
- Brand New Oil pump
- Brand New Water Pump
( think thats enough for a good Bottom end )

So had to re do the underside...
So far the Underside has been..
*Stone Chip Guarded with about 7 cans of the stuff! ( tad high on that stuff lol )
*Over the top of that a Sealer with Added Waxoil 8)
& This is How it Looks Soo far
Probs Will Buy The white Paint for the Underneath Next week sometime.. but goin to give it a Good few days - Week... For all that so far to Go off properly
Got My Brakes Aswell.. Some nice big Cossie Brakes with Bell Disks! ( 3piece Disk.. I can take them apart .. Whooop )
Also Got My front Seats - RS1600i Seats! Going to be Totally Refurbed/Re-upholstered In Black With White Stitching 8)

My old Rear Bumper was Smashed To pieces.. & had So much FibreGlass Inside it.. I Chucked it in the Bin the second i pulled it off....
The Other week My New One Arrived 8)
Also Got a Strut Brace.. ( needs painting etc )
Decided to be Different... & Not have Recaro RST Seats!!
So Opted for RS1600i Seats!!

( These Are gettin Refurbed/Re-Upholstered ) Black.. With White Stitching! Think they will look Smashing Once done...

I soo want to Try get a Mk5 Dash to fit... but Dont Kno if it is Possible or Not...
So if i have to Use a mk4 Dash.. Ill Get it Flocked... Tbh Ill get the Mk5 Dash Flocked if it fits aswell... ( Never Seen a mk5 DASH in a Mk4.. But Im sure its possible...)

Noticed the One Caliper The Seal Is Nakered!

So Going to have to send them off for a Refurb Me thinks...
Split The Disks tho... They Needed a Good Clean and a Fresh Coat of paint on the centres etc!

So had to Strip it back down to See why the Crank wouldnt Spin Smoothly...
It Would Spin.. Just Not How I like it to!
It Does now tho...
Good Old Bit of Oil And Constant Spinning It Become free 8) Turns Over By Hand now!
Im a Fussy Bugger I swear! Some people would of Just stuck it in.. and let the Oil Flow Round and it would of free Up that wayy!
Pfft.. Wouldnt even take that risk!!
Easy and quick enough to strip down and put back togetha!
