to concour with T, when i was insured with highway insurance i too had the ability to drive other cars with my insurance.

so when i got stopped driving a nissan 200sx that was in a mates name who was a trader, and got me the tax etc i just produced my docs for the clio i was insured on and it was passed through every time. happened about 3 times lol

if you pass an ANPR it will come up unisured, and also when parked ie you are not in the car it is not insured.

i spoke to the guy from the insuracne company on the phone in detail about this, and they said that as long as i am in the car, its insured wether it has its own insurance or not.

im now with HIC and it states that the car you are driving HAS to be insured.

so its just that some companies word it differently i guess. so its up to the individual insurer if the other car has to be insured or not.
