I use Picasa 3 http://picasa.google.com/

you can upload (in batch if you want) to picasa web album, you can have it private, public or invite someone to veiw. Also can do slideshow.
There is a plugin so that it is possible to upload picures from picasa to Facebook.

The only thing Picasa is not as good as photobucket is if you want to upload to websites. Apart from that picasa is really very good IMHO.
