At that price range, go for V's. Only Hydraulics are better! Avid or Formula are by far the best, with hope coming basically last they suffer from horrendous caliper flex, barely ever work, and have a tendancy to blow their pistons out. Everyone I know who's had hopes (alot I might add) have had problems with them having no power, or leaking, one of my mates even had his front brake blow a piston out at aston hill(no fun if you know how steep it is!) Hopes are 'all noise, no power' due to the noise most of them make! I even had a set of bottom end tektro hydro's that I used when I was skint that I prefered to hope, and they worked better!
