All depends really mate,as posted above theres a c/l module and if it detects a fault then it may re-lock the car after a couple of seconds.

On my merc ml,if I unlock the door via the alarm,yet do nothing with it within a minute it locks itself,real pain in the arse when you unlock the door from the house cos it's raining,leave your keys inside and get wet because it's fucking locked itself!!!

I've had a look in the owners manual and it's correct,fucking Germans!!!
